About Liz

Liz began studying the violin at age seven and started teaching her first students in high school. Through high school, she played in the Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra, soloing with the orchestra as a concerto competition winner. This experience sparked her passion for music and performance, and she continued to study the violin through college. She served as the concertmaster of the Grove City College Orchestra for three years and performed as a 2007 concerto competition winner.

Liz has been teaching Suzuki violin in the Maryland area since 2009. She studied with Elisabeth Adkins of the NSO and completed Suzuki training with Ronda Cole, Ann Montzka-Smelser, and Linda Fiore. During those years, she has played with the Columbia Orchestra and a local string quartet. Liz accepts students of all ages, with the hopes that they will learn to play beautifully and ‘grow an admirable heart’ through their love of music.
